Ostriches produce a variety of sounds including hissing, low rumbling or growling sounds, and males make distinctive booming calls during courtship and territorial displays. While the booming is their most famous sound, they do make low growl-like rumbles in certain contexts. Bleeping is electronic, bleating is for sheep/goats, and honking is for geese.
