Plato was Socrates' most renowned student who carried forward his philosophical teachings. He founded the Academy in Athens and wrote dialogues featuring Socrates as the main character. Herophilus was a physician, Aeschylus a playwright, and Pericles a statesman - none were Socrates' students.
