Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore invented the first commercial microprocessor (the Intel 4004) in 1971 while working at Intel. They were co-founders of Intel along with Arthur Rock. This invention revolutionized computing by putting the entire CPU on a single chip. The other names are not associated with microprocessor invention.
