Emus and kangaroos cannot walk backwards

Both emus and kangaroos have anatomical structures that prevent them from walking backwards. Emus have knee joints that only bend forward, while kangaroos have large, muscular tails and hind legs designed for forward hopping motion. This anatomical limitation makes reverse walking impossible or extremely difficult for both species.
