What type of creature is a 'Bombay Duck'?

Despite its misleading name, Bombay Duck is actually a fish (Harpadon nehereus), a species of lizardfish found in the waters between Mumbai and Kutch. It's a popular delicacy in coastal cuisine, especially in Mumbai. The name comes from 'Bombil' (Marathi) and 'Duck' (likely from the smell when dried, reminiscent of duck). It's definitely not a bird, parrot, pigeon, or cat.
