Antibodies are proteins produced by specialized immune cells called B lymphocytes (B cells). Neutrophils, basophils, and monocytes are other types of white blood cells, but they do not produce antibodies - neutrophils are phagocytes, basophils release inflammatory chemicals, and monocytes become macrophages.
