Tritium (hydrogen-3 or ³H) is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen consisting of one proton and two neutrons in its nucleus. It is the heaviest naturally occurring hydrogen isotope, with deuterium (²H) having one proton and one neutron, and protium (¹H) having just one proton.
