The Middle East holds approximately 2/3 of the world's proven oil reserves, primarily concentrated in the Persian Gulf region. Countries like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, and Iran have the largest reserves. Russia has significant reserves but less than the Middle East. Africa and Europe have much smaller reserves. Canada has substantial oil sands but conventional reserves are less.
