Odantapuri (also called Odantapura) was a Buddhist monastery founded by Gopala, the first ruler of the Pala dynasty, in the 8th century CE. It was located near modern-day Bihar Sharif in Bihar. Vikramashila was founded by Dharmapala (Gopala's successor), while Nalanda was already ancient by the Pala era. Nagarjunakonda is in Andhra Pradesh, unrelated to the Palas.
