In 1914, Charlie Chaplin's contract with Keystone Studios was amended to have him make 14 films for the studio in 1915. These would be his final Keystone films before moving to Essanay Studios. Chaplin had been making roughly one film per week at Keystone, so 14 films was roughly consistent with his productivity. The Tramp character became fully developed during this Keystone period, setting the stage for his later masterpieces.
