Who discovered the astronomical object 'Pulsar'?

Pulsars were discovered in 1967 by Jocelyn Bell Burnell, a graduate student working with Antony Hewish. She detected regular radio pulses from an unknown source, which were later identified as rapidly rotating neutron stars. The discovery was so unexpected that the source was initially nicknamed 'LGM-1' (Little Green Men) as a half-joking reference to the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligence.
