Which of the following days is a holiday?

Directions: Study the following information and answer the question that follows:

Six plays A, B, C, D, E and F are to be staged in a week starting from Monday to Sunday. There is a holiday in between in which no play will be staged.

1. Play A must not be staged before Play B.
2. There should be a 2-day gap in between when Play B and Play E are to be staged.
3. C must play on Tuesday.
4. Play A must be staged following the holiday.
5. Play F should not be performed either on Wednesday or Friday.
6. D must not be played after Play C.

Let's try to find out the arrangement according to conditions given above:

1. C is played on Tuesday and D must not be played after C. So, Play D must be staged on Monday.
2. There should be a 2-day gap in between Play B and Play E. Hence, we can try putting Play B either on Wednesday or Thursday.  Case 1: If play B is staged on Thursday, it won't satisfy the condition because there should be a holiday and a day in which A has to be played consecutively and F must played on Wednesday. Case 2: If play B is staged on Wednesday, then E will be played on Saturday. There would be a holiday and play A can be staged respectively on Thursday and Friday. Hence, it satisfies all the conditions. ** At any case, we can not assume E to be staged before B because Play A cannot be staged before Play B.
