Wrought iron is the purest form of iron among the options, containing only 0.008-0.05% carbon. Steel contains 0.2-2% carbon, while cast irons (both white and grey) have 2-4% carbon. The very low carbon content makes wrought iron more ductile, malleable, and corrosion-resistant, though it's also softer than steel.
