Let the present age of Amit be x years and that of Anil be y years.

So, present age of father = 2x years

Now, sum of the ages of Amit and Anil is 27 years.

So, x + y = 27  -------------------(1)

After 4 years, father's age = 2x + 4 and Anil's age = y + 4

According to question,

2x + 4 =5/3(y + 4)

6x - 5y = 8 ------------------------(2)

After solving equations (1) and (2), we get

x = 13 and y = 14
