New Orleans's NBA team is the Hornets (now known as the Pelicans since 2013, but historically correct as Hornets). The Mavericks play in Dallas, Rockets in Houston, and Grizzlies in Memphis. Note: The original Charlotte Hornets became the New Orleans Hornets before rebranding as Pelicans.
