Lysander is a character in Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. He is one of the four young lovers who flee Athens, along with Hermia, his love interest. The play follows their adventures in the magical forest where fairy mischief causes confusion about who loves whom. Lysander ultimately marries Hermia at the play's conclusion.
