Vardhman Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, prescribed five main vows known as Pancha Vrathas or Pancha Mahavrata. These are Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truthfulness), Asteya (non-stealing), Brahmacharya (celibacy), and Aparigraha (non-possessiveness). Pancha Sila refers to Buddhist five precepts, not Jain teachings.
