'A' found property (gold ring) knowing it belonged to 'Z' and then dishonestly misappropriated it by pledging it for a loan. This meets the definition of criminal misappropriation under Section 403 IPC - finding property and dishonestly using it for one's own purpose. It is not theft (no taking from possession), not criminal breach of trust (property was not entrusted), and certainly not 'no offence'.
