How many runs can the batting team score?

Directions: Read the passage carefully and answer the question that follows.

Cricket is a game which is played between two teams comprising 11 players each. This game is played using bat and ball. The game is an outdoor activity which is played on an oval shaped field. There is a rectangular 22-yard long pitch at the center. At one point of time, one team bats and tries to score the maximum number of runs possible while the other team bowls and fields. The bowler tries to dismiss the batsmen and thus limit the runs scored by the batting team. A run is scored by the striking batsman hitting the ball with his bat, running to the opposite end of the pitch and touching the crease there without being dismissed. The teams switch between batting and fielding at the end of an innings.
