Myanmar (formerly Burma) is the world's largest producer of teak, accounting for approximately one-third of global production. The country's tropical forests have ideal conditions for teak growth, and Myanmar has been renowned for its high-quality teak since colonial times. Neither Zambia nor Senegal are significant teak producers, while Sri Lanka's production is comparatively much smaller.
