When was Tibco Software founded?

TIBCO Software was founded in 1985 as The Information Bus Company by Vivek Ranadive. The company originated from Ranadive's vision to create real-time information delivery systems for financial services, particularly for stock trading floors. Originally a project within Teknekron, TIBCO was spun out as an independent company in 1997. The company's early focus was on providing real-time market data to Wall Street firms before expanding into general enterprise middleware.
