Which of the following types of classification can you use to prioritze I/O requests with IORM?
-
Based on Database Manager Resource Groups
-
Based on an Interdatabase Plan
-
Based on a Category Plan
-
Based on the priority of the background process
IORM supports three classification types: Database Resource Manager Groups (intra-database priorities), Interdatabase Plans (allocating resources across databases), and Category Plans (classifying workloads by category). Priority of background processes is not a standard IORM classification method - background processes are typically managed within the other classification schemes.
IORM (I/O Resource Manager) lets you prioritize I/O using multiple layered plans: an intradatabase plan based on Database Resource Manager consumer groups, an interdatabase plan to allocate I/O share across databases sharing the same storage, and a category plan to prioritize by workload category (e.g., online vs. batch). The priority of a background process isn't a classification IORM uses — I/O scheduling is driven by these declared plans, not by which background process issued the request.
