Amitabh Bachchan made his debut with 'Saat Hindustani' (1969) directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. The film was a drama about seven Indians stranded on an island. Though not a commercial success, it launched Bachchan's career. His major breakthrough came with 'Zanjeer' (1973). Films like 'Deewaar', 'Lawaaris', and 'Agneepath' (original) came much later in his career.
