Gobind Behari Lal was the first Indian to win a Pulitzer Prize in 1937 for Journalism (reporting on science). Jhumpa Lahiri won later (2000). Geeta Anand won in 2003 for Investigative Reporting. Aravind Adiga won the Booker Prize, not Pulitzer.
