Hyderabad serves as the capital of Andhra Pradesh (for now, as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014). Guntur, Vizag, and Vijayawada are important cities in AP but Hyderabad remains the capital. Amaravati is being developed as the new capital but the transition is not complete.
