The Inland Taipan (also called fierce snake) has the most toxic venom of any snake - one bite contains enough venom to kill 100 humans. However, it's rarely encountered and generally docile. King cobras deliver large quantities of venom but it's less toxic. Rattlesnakes and mambas have dangerous venoms but are not as potent as the taipan's.
