Hedwig is Harry Potter's owl, given to him as an eleventh birthday present by Rubeus Hagrid. She was a beautiful snowy owl who served as Harry's loyal companion and mail carrier throughout his time at Hogwarts. Hedwig sadly died during the Battle of the Seven Potters while protecting Harry.
