Dr. Salim Ali is known as the 'Birdman of India' for his pioneering work in ornithology (study of birds) and bird conservation in India. He wrote the famous 'Book of Indian Birds' and documented over 1,300 bird species. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was the 'Missile Man'.
