NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory is named after Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, the Indian-American physicist who won the 1983 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on stellar evolution and the Chandrasekhar limit. C.V. Raman was also a Nobel laureate (1930, Physics) but NASA does not have a major telescope named after him. Meghnath Saha and Vikram Sarabhai were distinguished Indian scientists but not the namesake of any NASA satellite telescope.
