No team has won the Champions League (post-1992 format) in two consecutive years. Since the Champions League began in 1992-93, different champions have emerged each season. Real Madrid won five consecutive European Cups from 1956-1960, but that was before the Champions League era. Milan (1989-90) and Nottingham Forest (1979-80) also won consecutive European Cups in the pre-1992 format, but not in the Champions League proper.
